What counts as an evaluation

• One successful intelligence step inside a workflow. Calling a workflow, and its input, output, and logic steps, are free.
• One successful custom node test in the Studio node editor, however many decisions it makes.
• Studio workflow and custom node tests, exactly like API calls.

The Free plan includes 1,000 evaluations a month. Pay As You Go adds evaluations beyond that at $0.005 each, up to your spending cap. See pricing.

Partial failures

Each intelligence step is recorded the moment it succeeds. If a later step fails, times out, or the run is interrupted, the steps that already succeeded are still billed; the rest aren't. The response's evaluations field always tells you how many you were billed for.

Limits before a run

Before a workflow starts, Kovca reserves the evaluations it will definitely need. If your free allowance or spending cap can't cover them, the request is refused and nothing runs. Steps behind a condition are reserved only when their branch is taken; if that reservation fails, the run stops with USAGE_LIMIT_EXCEEDED or BILLING_PAYMENT_REQUIRED and only completed steps are billed.
