Getting started

Make your first Kovca API request in a few minutes.

Kovca APIs are plain HTTPS endpoints that accept and return JSON. Every response includes a request_id, and every API has a versioned, documented contract.

1. Create an account

Sign up with email and password or Google. A workspace is created for you automatically; API keys and usage belong to that workspace.

2. Create an API key

In the dashboard, open API keys and click Create key. Copy the key right away. Kovca stores only a hash of it, so it can't be shown again. See API keys.

3. Send a request

The base URL is https://kovca.io/api. Store your key in an environment variable such as KOVCA_API_KEY and call the Support Triage API:

Terminal
curl https://kovca.io/api/v1/support/triage \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $KOVCA_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
  "subject": "Refund not received",
  "message": "I returned my order two weeks ago and still haven'\''t received my refund."
}'

A successful response looks like this:

200 OK
{
  "request_id": "req_8sJq2LwzVd0cYb1E",
  "category": "billing",
  "priority": "medium",
  "requires_human_review": false
}

4. Try the playground

Each API has a playground in the developer console. It sends requests through the same service as the public API, using your signed-in session instead of an API key. It shows the status code, latency, and response body, and gives you an equivalent cURL command.
